An interview of Cpl Christopher Panagopoulous by Maj David Burman. Cpl says he was captured after he was taking a nap after coming off guard on 24 April 1951. He was first taken to the Peaceful Valley Camp and then moved to another place. The treatment was not too good says the Cpl. They held their religious services, but the Commies broke up some of them. The returnees says that some of the men fell for the Communist line and received a few meager privileges. The Maj asks the Cpl if he saw any of the new cars. He says that he saw some pictures of them, etc. Also says, "Hello", to his Mom and Dad. Note: Sound fair, print contrasty. |
